Dave Percival
Dave was born in Oldham Lancashire. He first picked up the guitar while at Crypt Grammar School in Gloucester. Before coming to college in Bristol he played in prog-rock band Perpetual Motion and the club band "The Triumph Showband" ... so named (and I kid you not) because the singers' wife said it was a triumph we ever got any gigs.
Dave has been resident in Bristol since the early eighties when he came to Bristol Polytechic to study Business Studies.
More importantly whilst at Bristol Poly he formed False Idols with Neil Templar, Paul Bird and Steve Kershaw. False Idols played all over the country and abroad and of course the regular Bristol venues, Bristol Bridge etc.
Dave spent the nineties "resting" until he teamed up with Chris Cogdell and Mike Pitt to form Head First with Paul Bird on drums and Nigel Lloyd on vocals.
After the split of Head First the guys formed Rough Justice.
